French Press

Best With:
Daily Grind · House Blend
Tasting Outcome:
Smooth, full-bodied, low acidity. Comfort in a cup.
Grind Size
Coarse (like sea salt)
Ratio
1:15 (20g coffee : 300ml water)
Water Temp
Just off boil (~92–94°C)
Brew Time
4 minutes

Technique

Do:
  • Use freshly boiled water cooled for 30 seconds
  • Stir once after pouring
  • Plunge slowly for smoother texture
Don't:
  • Use pre-ground supermarket coffee
  • Leave brewed coffee sitting inside the press
Why It Works:

French press captures body and sweetness, perfect for our mellow Daily Grind or the clean finish of House Blend.

French Press

Pour-Over

Best With:
Single Origin · Light Roast
Tasting Outcome:
Bright, clean, nuanced. Highlights origin character.
Grind Size
Medium (like table salt)
Ratio
1:16 (15g coffee : 240ml water)
Water Temp
90–93°C
Brew Time
2.5–3 minutes

Technique

Do:
  • Rinse the filter with hot water first
  • Bloom for 30–45 seconds with 2x coffee weight in water
  • Pour in slow, circular motions
Don't:
  • Pour directly onto the filter edges
  • Rush the pour
Why It Works:

Pour-over gives you control and clarity, ideal for showcasing the delicate notes in our single-origin beans.

Pour-Over

Espresso

Best With:
Espresso Blend · Dark Roast
Tasting Outcome:
Rich, syrupy, intense. Balanced sweetness and crema.
Grind Size
Fine (like powdered sugar)
Ratio
1:2 (18g coffee : 36g output)
Water Temp
92–94°C
Brew Time
25–30 seconds

Technique

Do:
  • Distribute grounds evenly before tamping
  • Tamp with consistent pressure (15kg)
  • Purge the group head before pulling
Don't:
  • Use stale beans (older than 3 weeks)
  • Let the shot run too long
Why It Works:

Espresso concentrates flavor and body, bringing out the chocolate and caramel notes in our darker roasts.
